Well this doesn't make sense

Right now it's my prep period at school. I have a jacket on and am bundled up in a blanket. You may think it's the middle of winter, but it's beautiful and sunny and 70 degrees outside right now. My classroom is always so cold! I have no control over the temperature, and neither does anyone else at the school. It's all controlled at the district. It seems a little crazy to me! Maybe I'll go outside for a bit. :)

Easter Straws

On Easter, my roommates and I got some sweet bunny shaped straws. After church we busted out the chocolate milk so we could try them.

This pictures makes me laugh. Anyone can be attractive when they suck through a straw. :) LtoR: Annie, Cheryl, Alisha...plus me of course! (and yes, I wore black on Easter Sunday...turns out I don't own any fun/springy clothes...though I did have purple on under it...you just can't see it here very well!)
Bunny ears to Cheryl....get it? :)My cheeks are killing me!Annie is dazedAlisha has special powers and can suck through a straw while smiling.
And my favorite part...the awesome bubbles!I love it!

Mini Golfing

A few days ago we went mini golfing for Annie and Rebecca's birthday (Annie is my roommate. Rebecca is my neighbor) It was so much fun! We went to Laser Assault in Provo to try out their mini golf course for the first time. It was so fun! It was all black lights and bright decorations that made for a great photo shoot...good times. :)

I'm such a moron...I love it. :)
Nice form, Rob.
Fly, Skyler! Fly!
Oh Rebecca...you make me laugh.
Kristy, these pictures are dedicated to Dallin. :) These were some of my favorites with the T-Rex.
Go Cowgirl Cheryl!Don't worry...Rob saved usAnd now Skyler and the T-Rex are friends.I was trying to strangle him, but his neck was ginormous!
We really do love each other!
I think Annie and Cheryl may have actually kissed him...sick :)Nice
My roommate Alisha and the hot ape.
I dig snakes
Free Willy!
Cheryl and Rebecca were shouting, "Jonah! Pinocchio!" into the whale...it was hilarious.

Jelly Roll

I saw this on my friend Laura's blog, and am sharing the love...though I was tempted not to because I don't want to decrease my odds of winning. :) Amy over at diary of a quilter is giving away this wonderland jelly roll. If you want to enter to win, head on over to her adorable blog....or don't, because that would be better for me. :) I LOVE jelly rolls! (and not just the cream filled ones)

Spring Break, Baby!

I did it!!!

I made it to Spring Break! (I was a little nervous that I wouldn't)

"How am I celebrating?" you ask?

Well it's 5:30pm, and I'm still at school getting stuff ready for Monday after the break. I haven't even touched the mountain of grading...but that will likely wait. :) I haven't been able to use my prep period in three weeks with crazy scheduling and hiring stuff, and it's catching up to me. :)

But who cares? It's Spring Break, baby!

Ample

So in case you didn't know, I took the Praxis 4 weeks ago. It is a "lovely" test teachers get to take in order to keep their job. I have a hard time with tests. I freak out when I take them, so I took a review course our district offered and talked to several people who have already taken it. The biggest piece of advice was, "Write fast." They all said they were really rushed for time, and some didn't even finish every answer. I've always been a slow test-taker, so I was freaking out.

Well, everyone was right. I was writing so fast! I felt really rushed and felt that my answers were horrible. I still don't know if I passed. I read somewhere that you could get your results on April 10th (yup, that's today!), but I have to pay $30 to get the results by phone today. Now I have to wait until Tuesday...so stupid!

ANYWAY, in the process of finding out if I could get my results today, I saw this lovely bit of information about taking the Praxis on the official website...

"Plan on approximately 25 minutes per case history. This amount of time has been AMPLE for most examinees to read the case study and respond to the short-answer questions."

AMPLE? According to www.dictionary.com Ample means "fully sufficient or more than adequate for the purpose or needs; plentiful; enough: an ample supply of water; ample time to finish."

Their example sentence even includes "ample time". This is ridiculous! :)

Now that's more like it!

It is such a BEAUTIFUL day today!!!
It's probably about 70 degrees and SUNNY!!!
I'm so happy!
(which you may be able to tell from my excessive exclamation points!!!!!!)
At the end of 3rd period each day, we have 15 minutes of reading time at our school. You better believe I took my class outside to read! I need to do that more often, because ever since I got back inside, I have been so much happier! Plus the fact that spring break is days away helps!
Summer is coming!!!

I'm ready for Spring Break
