Well that's a first...

Last week, I got an email from a student.  He called me a socialist.  That's definitely a first.

Don't worry, I had a chat with him (in person, since he didn't feel the need to confront my face in the first place), and we cleared the problem.

17 days of school left.
(2 of which I won't be here for, and the last week doesn't really count, so really...12 days of school left!)

You know it's bad when...

You have to open your classroom windows to let in the heat!  It's a beautiful 83 degree day outside, but my room is really probably 55 degrees right now.  I'm freezing!  My last class asked if we could have class outside today since they were so cold.  They really thought it would be a great idea to unhook our sewing machines and bring them outside.  Sounded good to me!  But I made them suffer through the cold.  I'm such a mean teacher.  Cold and mean.

Oh, Ireland...I miss you

Remember that time I went to Ireland?

Well, you probably don't since I haven't managed to blog about it.

Hopefully next week I'll be able to blog about it, especially so I can have everything recorded before I forget.

Ireland Weather Forecast

Not exactly a warm, sunny, tropical Spring Break like last year, but that's okay!  2 days!

Update

So here are a few highlights from the past month or two or whenever it was I last said what I've been up to...

I went to Arizona

I ran the Phoenix Half Marathon

 I went to my first NASCAR race.

 I spent some quality time with three of my beautiful sisters.

 I got to see my stinking cute niece, Isla.

 I bought new running shoes. Purple laces. I love them.

 I tie-dyed my first shirt (see results below).

 I ran the Rex Lee 5k with Annie.

I went to a Matt Nathanson/Kelly Clarkson concert.

I got 5 penne pastas on one piece of angel hair pasta.  It's trickier than you might think.

I finally saw The Hunger Games. Excellent movie. 

I've been doing some research for Ireland.  This time next week, I'll be flying somewhere over the Atlantic.

Yep, I have a pretty exciting life, everyone.  I hope you're jealous.

Is it June?

Carie just said I need to blog.  I know, I know...it's been a long time.  I've just been busy doing cool things (that...I know...I should blog about). I'll try to give a better update before I leave for Ireland.  In case you didn't see the countdown, I leave in a week!

But I just wanted to point out that I got a sunburn today.

It's March 31st!

It was something amazing like 80 degrees today.

I went running for about 50 minutes, and that's all it took to give this pasty white skin a little red glow (and sweet burn lines to show where my watch, ipod, and socks were).
