Random thoughts

(Joleen, your blog entry the other day inspired this post.)

  • They serve mashed potatoes almost every Thursday at our school. I usually make my own lunch, but on some Thursdays I get school lunch just for the potatoes. mmm
  • I can't wait to read the final Fablehaven book. On Monday, my plan is to stay in my jammies and read all day long.
  • Did you know that one of the uses for Alka-Seltzer is for "upset stomach with headache from overindulgence in food or drink"? Look at a box. It actually says that. My roommate Joleen thinks I should try overindulging myself just so I can try it.
  • Our downstairs neighbors are loud. Their tv is always really loud. Last night they were yelling (didn't sound like happy yelling). They're just plain loud, but I'm scared of them so I don't confront them about it.
  • Did you know that when it's really windy, the toilet water in our house rocks back and forth? After a couple hours, the water level in the toilet goes down a lot. It's really weird.
  • Today after school, I had 3o students in my room for 80 minutes! They were all trying to finish their project so they could have it over spring break. It was like having a 5th period for the day!
  • As far as I know, I didn't have any April Fools pranks pulled on me by any students.
  • Today, a boy in my class (kind of nerdy) was going to ask out a girl in my class (the popular type), and everyone was taking bets on whether she would turn him down or not. It wasn't looking too good for him. :)
  • My sister Natalie has texted me 8 times since she left for her honeymoon. Shame on her. But I got pretty flowers out of it!
  • I'm trying to update my 72 hour kit. I think it would only last me about 60 hours right now.
  • If you buy something at Roberts craft store for 50% off, you can't return it...unless you tell them you're an idiot and didn't know and beg them to take back...then they'll do it.
  • www.retailmenot.com is a great website for saving money while shopping online.
  • My sister Kristy just called and wants me to go play with her and her family. So I'm going to go now. :)

I love your random thoughts. I also love your blog layout. I usually read your blog through google reader.
Anyway, let us know if that girl said yes to the boy who was going to ask her out. I hope she did. How sad would it be for that boy if she said no.
Also, we just did our 72 hour kits for FHE this week. Wow, good thing too because we were not ready.

It sounds like the 30 kids in your classroom after school today was your April Fool's joke!!
I love your random thoughts. We get to see into your mind...
I think Jolene is right. I want to see if the stuff works!
Natalie has called me a couple of times also and I answer it on the first ring. I don't want to waste any of her precious honeymoon time.
I too am excited for the Fablehaven book, I wish I could sit in my jammies and read it on Monday. :(
I wish I were still in UT to play with you and Kristy.
I think I just commented on all of your randomness. Oh, except for your neighbors (I think I walked through one of their fights. Scary) Your toilet is strange! Love you Shan!

I would like to know the reasoning behind why you think your 72-hour kit would only last 60-hours. This reasoning might help me in determining if mine is up to par (I totally trust your judgement). Also, I would like an update on the nerd asking the popuar out and the outcome of the bets. Thank you very much.
