Brought to you by the letter J

So this weekend I remembered that I should probably take my Toyota into the dealership since the news keeps telling me that my Corolla has been recalled.

Well I just looked on their website and saw this...
"...vehicles with VINs that begin with 'J' are not involved in the sticking accelerator pedal recall."

Guess what my VIN begins with...
J!
I am going to call the dealership, but I think I'm off the hook from a messed up accelerator!

Well that is good news. It's nice to know that your car hasn't been a death trap all this time. We helped you pick a good one. :)

Hooray. The first letter of the VIN tells you where the car was made. Example: J. Means your car was made in Japan. Since most Corolla's from 2009 were made in America...looks like you got pretty luck with a Japanese car. Way to go! :)

So you're saying that my car is really a Japanese car! That's great! :) Maybe it helps that I bought my 2009 car in 2008. Thanks for helping me pick a good one, Georges :)
