My spiritual gift

My roommates and I have AMAZING home teachers. They faithfully come to visit us once a month...and we usually see them several times throughout the month as well! A few months ago (before I moved in) they had a lesson on spiritual gifts and apparently told my roommates what they thought one of their spiritual gifts is. They were written on our white board in our hallway as a reminder. When I moved in, I was kind of bummed that I didn't have one, so I asked them if they would come up with one for me. They said they'd think of it and get back to me. So now here is what our board reads...

Cheryl: Courage

Alisha: Happiness

Annie: Pure Testimony

(all semi-serious so far, right?)...

Shannon: Appropriate Sense of Humor

Oh I laughed so hard! The fact that my other roommates have these semi-serious ones...then mine is about having an appropriate sense of humor...makes me laugh! Every time I look at it, I giggle!

It comes down to the fact that I am sometimes a goofball and often feel like I can't control my actions or the words that come out of my mouth...but at least they're appropriate!

I love this. I don't remember reading about that one in the scriptures. I'll have to go back and look at them again. :) Your home teachers do sound awesome, though.

Very funny...and appropriate :)

It's gotta be the Junior High Teaching we do! It forces us to laugh about things and make fun of things, otherwise we might want to kill ourselves. Plus it gives us the chance to act immature and get away with it... Don't you love it?

HA! And so after our conversation last night I laughed out loud about one of those spiritual gifts.
